\u201cThat all First Responders receive the care and support when and where they need it post injury and post employment.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n To support Queensland and NSW paid First Responders (Police, Fire and Ambulance) who have become ill or injured as a result of their service by:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n 1. <\/em>Raising funds<\/strong> to provide direct financial support to First Responders in need.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n 2. <\/em>Advocating<\/strong> for improved post-employment support which includes long- term, needs-driven access to healthcare and healthcare services<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n Shane joined the Queensland Police Service in 2009, serving with dedication across multiple regions in North Queensland and rising to the rank of Sergeant. Throughout his service, Shane sustained physical injuries and developed PTSD. Navigating the complexities of the WorkCover process and the subsequent medical retirement, Shane encountered significant shortcomings in how injured officers are supported\u2014both during their service and in the challenging transition afterward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Determined to make a difference, Shane began by unofficially raising funds to support colleagues facing similar struggles. This passion led to the founding of Team Code Blue Inc in 2023, driven by his motto: \u201cConnecting fans to help injured first responders.\u201d Through tireless effort, Shane and his committee sourced signed memorabilia and conducted auctions to provide direct assistance to those in need. After serving as President until early 2026, Shane made the difficult decision to step down to focus on his growing fundraising business, Tickets in a Hat<\/em>, leaving behind a legacy that now serves as the foundation for our ongoing mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n With over 20 years of service as an Advanced Care Paramedic with the Queensland Ambulance Service, my journey took an unexpected turn following a workplace incident in late 2022. Like many others, I developed PTSD alongside other injuries. Stepping back from my career to commence intensive treatment was one of the most challenging experiences of my life\u2014a process I am still navigating today. The loss of professional identity, combined with financial strain and the weight of guilt and shame, created a profound sense of isolation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In early 2024, I found Team Code Blue Inc. Shane\u2019s willingness to share his own experiences and his steadfast support proved to be a turning point, drastically reducing the loneliness I had felt during my recovery. I joined the organisation as a volunteer, eager to contribute while continuing my treatment. When Shane stepped down, I felt a deep responsibility to ensure his vision did not fade. I stepped up to the role of President, bringing together a new, dedicated committee committed to evolving the organisation to meet the needs of the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In mid-2024, our committee made the strategic decision to commence a rebrand as Triple Zero Heroes Inc\u2014a name that truly encompasses the breadth of the first responders we support. The public launch of Triple Zero Heroes Inc was on 29th June 2026. Today, we are more than a support network; we are an advocacy force. We remain committed to providing financial assistance to injured or ill first responders across Queensland and New South Wales, while actively advocating for systemic changes to the medical and financial support available to those who have given so much in the line of duty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We are currently in the process of formalising our standing, having applied for official charity status and currently awaiting the confirmation of our Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status. This milestone will be a significant step forward, allowing us to provide even greater transparency and tax-deductible support options for our generous community of donors and partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n While our story begins with the founders and leadership, the heart of Triple Zero Heroes Inc lies in the dedicated team driving our mission forward every day. We are fortunate to have a strong, multi-disciplinary committee who volunteer their time and expertise to ensure our support reaches those who need it most, regardless of where they are located.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Our Executive Committee provides the governance and operational backbone of the organisation:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Beyond the executive roles, we are supported by four highly dedicated committee members strategically spread throughout Queensland and New South Wales. Their regional presence allows us to maintain a pulse on the needs of first responders across a wide geographic area, ensuring that our support is accessible and informed by the local challenges faced by our members on the ground.
